Trainer Tips

Always be clear, fair and consistent. Practise often. Remember dogs do not understand right and wrong you need to guide them and teach them!

Classes...

puppy classes / beginners classes / further training

We are a Kennel Club Listed organisation running the KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme.

We run structured courses so it is best if you can attend all the sessions. On the first week you will be given a folder containing information, including details of all the exercises that will be covered during the course.

Spaces are limited so please contact us in good time, for an application form, costs and availability etc, if you wish to enrol in one of our classes.

To fully benefit from the tuition, it is vital that the training is continued at home and repeated regularly and consistently. It is not necessary to set aside a particular time for training, on the contrary, we find that clients achieve the best results by incorporating the training into their dog’s daily routine.

We welcome all members of the dog’s human family to come and watch the classes, but recommend that one person is responsible for handling the dog at classes where possible. This is to ensure consistency of approach that will help your dog make the best progress. It is important that all members of the family understand and use the commands in the same way so that your dog does not become confused and demodulated.

** PLEASE NOTE** Where young children attend the class we ask that there is another adult to supervise them to ensure that they are able to sit quietly for the duration to enable you to give your full attention to the instruction being given and to ensure their safety, as we cannot be held responsible for them.
